The ACHA-National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is a nationally recognized research survey that can assist us in collecting precise data about GT students' health habits, behaviors, and perceptions.
College students are a diverse yet distinct population with specific health risks and needs. Having current, relevant data about our Georgia Tech students' health informs to enhance campus-wide health promotion and prevention services. The ACHA was most recently administered at GT in 2020.

ACHA contacts students to participate in the ACHA-NCHA through a letter of invitation sent via e-mail from Dr. Luoluo Hong, Vice President for Student Engagement and Well-Being. This email message also serves as the informed consent. As indicated in the letter, consent is provided when the student uses the link within the email message to access the survey.
We (GT) provide the text of the letter of invitation to ACHA as well as the subject line we want included with the e-mail. We then supply ACHA with a list of student e-mail addresses in an Excel spreadsheet file. Additionally, we will personalize the electronic letter of invitation/consent sent to each student, "Aloha, Fellow Yellow Jacket,"
Thereafter, ACHA contacts only non-responders with a reminder e-mail. Up to 2 reminder messages will be sent to non-responders. The second, final reminder will be labeled "Final Reminder" with a deadline for submitting survey responses.
