- Support academic program assessment of student learning

- Maintain academic and academic support assessment reports
- Maintain, Co-Chair and Convene the Faculty Accreditation Council
Support new academic programs and program changes through submission to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia - Support institutional accreditation and serve as the SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison, including the submission of substantive change and required reports
Enhance Capacity for Continuous Improvement
- Provide assessment workshops, resources, and consultation on best-practices
- Maintain, Chair, and convene the President’s Institute Survey Coordination Committee
- Survey administration and communication
- National, system and in-house surveys
- Course Instructor Opinion Survey (CIOS)
- University System of Georgia Surveys
- Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Freshman Survey
- National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
- Undergraduate and Graduate Exit Surveys

- Career and Salary Survey
- National, system and in-house surveys
Academic Program Review and Planning
- Coordinate academic program review and maintain manual
- Coordinate Vice Provost Unit review and maintain manual
- Coordinate University System of Georgia (USG) comprehensive program review
- Provide curricular support for new degree program development and long-term planning
- Serve as standing voting member on the Institute’s curriculum committees (undergraduate and graduate)
Goals
- Goal 1 – Increase awareness of assessment best-practices across the Institute’s academic programs and academic support units.
- Goal 2 – Increase stakeholder awareness of key data collected from student and other related surveys.
- Goal 3 – Ensure evaluation of academic programs and academic support units are conducted through a self-study process, culminating in an external peer review.
- Goal 4 – Compliance with accountability standards.
